But to his dismay, Arnold Collins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Atletico Aragua FC's Gaspard Izquierdo shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Gaspard Izquierdo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Atletico Aragua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspard Izquierdo couldn't finish the play. Gaspard Izquierdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Arnold Collins in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 27 in the game by Gaspard Izquierdo from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. In the 28th match minute, Atletico Aragua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Maldonado to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Haitz Langarica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 39 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspard Izquierdo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaspard Izquierdo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspard Izquierdo in the 51st minute of the match. After 53 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miguel Echavarria who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Atletico Aragua FC's Miguel Echavarria to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 57th minute of play forced Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Haitz Langarica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haitz Langarica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 59th minute of the match. Haitz Langarica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Pedro Maldonado got a free kick in the 68th minute. Atletico Aragua FC made a substitution. Viviano Omente replaced Christiano Fano. The supporters of Atletico Aragua FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaspard Izquierdo in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Pedro Maldonado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Gaspard Izquierdo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Atletico Aragua FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
