The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Mina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marciano Pettinelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Patricio Costa managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 김 석 in the 39 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Urbasa was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. Pablo Innocenzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 68th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. Marciano Pettinelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gladiadores made a substitution. Albino Belo replaced Blas Beila. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Belo in the 86th minute of play. Gladiadores's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
