In the 11th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Peru booed when Coritiba Foot Ball Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Alvaro Rudolfo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrinho Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Fausto Romero sped through Peru's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The throw-in from Pedrinho Godoi in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 69 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alvaro Rudolfo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Coritiba Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Pedrinho Godoi hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Rudolfo saved Coritiba Foot Ball Club from getting behind. Julian Murillo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Pedrinho Godoi in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. In the 81st minute, Carlos Eduardo Dracena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Alvaro Rudolfo came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Antonio Tenorio. But to his dismay, Antonio Tenorio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 95 minutes into the match, Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alvaro Rudolfo, 1-2.
