Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abram Sarmiento started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niceto Ihazintu. In the 4th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11thth minute of the game Niceto Ihazintu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ezequiel Nunes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th match minute, Caatiba MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Niceto Ihazintu took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caatiba MZC's goalie prevented a goal. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 31st minute. Caatiba MZC's Ergo Muro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Ezequiel Nunes in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Niceto Ihazintu sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Niceto Ihazintu made the kick off in the second half. Niceto Ihazintu scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ergo Muro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Niceto Ihazintu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niceto Ihazintu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Abram Secada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Ergo Muro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ergo Muro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho Linhares struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caatiba MZC. In the 76th minute Rodriguinho Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Ignacio Mastache lined in a short shot 4-1 behind a frustrated Ergo Muro. If Ignacio Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Ihazintu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Manzanares having to make a save. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Antonio Indiano hit a great ball. When Orlando Tafalla fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colombia's protests and gave Orlando Tafalla a yellow card for diving instead. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ihazintu in the 96th minute of play. Caatiba MZC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
