The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aquilino Efraim got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Lucien was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aquilino Efraim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 7 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabriel Lleir who took care of the corner kick. 9 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claude Lucien. Claude Lucien came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Flavio Fanuco hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claude Lucien. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's goalkeeper Claude Lucien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Aquilino Efraim fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's protests and gave Aquilino Efraim a yellow card for diving instead. Claude Lucien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute. Claude Lucien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. During the 90th minute of the match Flavio Fanuco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Flavio Fanuco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claude Lucien. The goal made the score 1-9. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN throughout the match.
