After 3 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claude Lucien was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claude Lucien came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Flavio Fanuco hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. When Aquilino Efraim fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's protests and gave Aquilino Efraim a yellow card for diving instead. Gabriel Lleir's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claude Lucien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 87th minute. Claude Lucien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 89th minute of the match. During the 90th minute of the match Flavio Fanuco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Flavio Fanuco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Ecuador booed when INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Fanuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Claude Lucien. The goal made the score 1-9. After having played for 95 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN throughout the match.
