With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquilino Efraim in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 34thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's Claude Lucien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 60th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claude Lucien having to interfere. Aquilino Efraim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Gabriel Lleir shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's Amadeo Llorian got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 84 in the game by Tomas Illescas from a close distance when the talented Claude Lucien managed to make a qualified save. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN's players were relieved. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Llorian, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Claude Lucien, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. INTERNAZIONALE DE MILAN had won after a very even match.
