Mihail Nazaria came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Rothwell Park's Adolfo Salvino. But to his dismay, Adolfo Salvino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Mano, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind ATE AFC's goalkeeper Mihail Nazaria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Bartolome in the 25th minute of the match. Rothwell Park's Sammy Keino got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Andrzej Mlekodaj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Githinji Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Rothwell Park's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel Bartolome was slow to take the kick. During this time ATE AFC's players had a chance to rest. After 34 minutes Rothwell Park's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gabriel Bartolome who took care of the corner kick. Fredric Skog made a great header on ATE AFC's corner, it was just that Rothwell Park's Tony Githinji Muhoho managed to reach the ball for a save. 36 minutes into the match, ATE AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Salvino came free, but Mihail Nazaria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rothwell Park booed when ATE AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Mlekodaj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Mbugua charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christopher Mbugua the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Rothwell Park getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Christopher Mbugua hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Salvino during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adolfo Salvino kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Tony Githinji Muhoho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Skog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Mano in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Salvino to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Rothwell Park got a corner. ATE AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sammy Keino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sammy Keino made a great header on Rothwell Park's corner, it was just that ATE AFC's Mihail Nazaria managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 58th minute of play forced ATE AFC's goalkeeper Mihail Nazaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Rothwell Park were awarded a corner. Sammy Keino went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Rothwell Park's corner Sammy Keino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mihail Nazaria quite easily take care of the ball. Breno Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Tony Githinji Muhoho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Mlekodaj. Eusebio Mano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mihail Nazaria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Salvino in the 90th minute of play. Rothwell Park were furious when Elijah Leakey was red carded, 97 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Elijah Leakey hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. ATE AFC's Gabriel Bartolome got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ATE AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
