Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Mlekodaj in the 3rd minute of play. Dieguinho Amaral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Mihail Nazaria made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Andrzej Mlekodaj came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Weterio struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Cayetano Rito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATE AFC. When Ruy Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Paulopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruy Carneiro couldn't finish the play. After 23 played minutes ATE AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Wijgaert. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dieguinho Amaral in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihail Nazaria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Wijgaert hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cayetano Rito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilfredo Weterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Fredric Skog had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cayetano Rito. Paulopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fredric Skog was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 40 played minutes ATE AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Wijgaert. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrzej Mlekodaj to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieguinho Amaral in the 51st minute of play forced ATE AFC's goalkeeper Mihail Nazaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes ATE AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Wijgaert. Andrzej Mlekodaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of ATE AFC booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Smitt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Wilfredo Weterio managed to get in a good position for a shot. ATE AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Weterio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Rito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Fredric Skog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Rito was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. When Wilfredo Weterio came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the ATE AFC fans jumped to their feet. In the 73rd minute of the match, Andrzej Mlekodaj got a very nice opportunity to score, but Cayetano Rito was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 75 minutes, Dieguinho Amaral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulopolis and the ATE AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Dieguinho Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito got control of the ball when Andrzej Mlekodaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 77 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by George Smitt. In the 79th minute, ATE AFC's Andrzej Mlekodaj dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Cayetano Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Weterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ATE AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
