Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 10th minute of play. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyprian Sitko's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Alfredo Ireno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Commander Crowe's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Ireno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Day breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, USA's Cassius Byrne sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edvard Fagerberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute of the match USA got a corner. Commander Crowe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cassius Byrne ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edvard Fagerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Commander Crowe's Edvard Fagerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of USA booed when Commander Crowe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shi De Chang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Cyprian Sitko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of play forced Commander Crowe's goalkeeper Edvard Fagerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. Edvard Fagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Commander Crowe's Nicasio Gotzon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Commander Crowe's Jimmie Käcker got a free kick in the 60th minute. Jimmie Käcker struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Commander Crowe. Edvard Fagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 66th minute of play. Håkan Västerstrand charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Håkan Västerstrand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. After 70 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Commander Crowe! Edvard Fagerberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Gotzon in the 83rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nicasio Gotzon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyprian Sitko in the 87th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Commander Crowe's Cyprian Sitko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marco Day in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alfredo Ireno kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jacob May hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over USA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Commander Crowe throughout the match.
