Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emerson Cruz made the kick off which started today's match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Seco got free with Benito Sanz in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Seco scored 1-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Cruz in the 12th minute of play. Kléber do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kléber do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber do Valle. 17 minutes into the game, Marco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Marco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 20 minutes into the game, Thiago de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. INTER FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Costa Rica's Alfredo Zoido was substituted for Eliseo Noboa. After a defensive mix-up in INTER FC's zone, Alfredo Zoido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Kosmatka came out of the goal and Alfredo Zoido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, INTER FC's Marco Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Hugo Ferrant hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the match, INTER FC's Marco Seco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Marco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after INTER FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leon Kosmatka in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after INTER FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Leon Kosmatka in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Marco Seco scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leon Kosmatka narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, Marco Seco made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. INTER FC's Hortêncio Linhares was substituted for Marco Seco. In the 66th minute, Hortêncio Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. When Hortêncio Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the INTER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Linhares couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 minutes, Hortêncio Linhares made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mandi Oca during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Mandi Oca. Leon Kosmatka made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Kléber do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léo Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Leon Kosmatka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 88th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Kosmatka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. INTER FC fully deserved thier win.
