Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Popin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilian Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramon Nafarroa was slow to take the kick. During this time Don Malbec's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Ramon Nafarroa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Sexto in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Camilo Sexto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Sexto in the 18th minute of play. Emilian Martinez came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 24 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilian Martinez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Don Malbec's Emilian Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 36th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Ramon Nafarroa made a great header on Don Malbec's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Martinez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Sexto's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camilo Sexto to make the kick off. Ted Lasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute of the match Tito Popin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Emilian Martinez made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Celedonio Aurken hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emilian Martinez. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felix Nahia during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Felix Nahia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The audience cheered loudly when Daniel Zorita's long shot in the 69th minute became 0-6 when the ball went to the left of and passed Emilian Martinez. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Camilo Sexto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilian Martinez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martinez having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's Ted Lasso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Don Malbec's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. 91 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilian Martinez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camilo Sexto's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Don Malbec were awarded a corner in the 97th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ramon Nafarroa took the corner. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
