In the 37th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Jesus Allu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Jesus Allu got free with Julio Vera in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Jesus Allu was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Snorlax FC's Tancredo Manguyague got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Tibalt Bruna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Snorlax FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tibalt Bruna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tancredo Manguyague made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 72nd minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Mario Jesus Allu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snorlax FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Jesus Allu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Snorlax FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Horacio Jesus Sepúlveda hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tancredo Manguyague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Mario Jesus Allu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Tancredo Manguyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Snorlax FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Lorencio Smith hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 98th minute of play forced Snorlax FC's goalkeeper Tancredo Manguyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
