Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, CLUB ATLETICO DONO's Erubiel Vidal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Aquiles Soter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of the match. Aquiles Soter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The supporters of CLUB ATLETICO DONO booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Vidal in the 16th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aquiles Soter was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Aquiles Soter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Nafarroa kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When Erubiel Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CLUB ATLETICO DONO's protests and gave Erubiel Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CLUB ATLETICO DONO getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Erubiel Vidal hit a great ball. Erubiel Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. After 40 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Erubiel Vidal made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO DONO got a freekick which was hit by Petr Minkov. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. After having played for 65 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Vidal in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erubiel Vidal in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Leonel Quexal made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. After 87 minutes, Tomas Illescas made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. CLUB ATLETICO DONO's Aquiles Soter tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Venezuela walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
