After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Basílio Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Jacuitiba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Mastur Bandov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras may have spent more time on the ball, but Jacuitiba - FSCMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
