With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Erubiel Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aquiles Soter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teodoro Nafarroa hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aquiles Soter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes CLUB ATLETICO DONO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aquiles Soter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquiles Soter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Aquiles Soter to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Aquiles Soter in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Gonzales in the 77th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aquiles Soter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, CLUB ATLETICO DONO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th minute Erubiel Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 90 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO DONO got a freekick which was hit by Angel Gabino. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquiles Soter. Aquiles Soter dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Aquiles Soter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
