Marco Tamayo's late challenge caught a Weisburd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Anselmo Toli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Weisburd's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Toli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the last second Ricardo Zorita throw himself and got hold of the ball when Delmiro Nafarroa in the 37thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. 45 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmiro Nafarroa. Anselmo Toli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Ricardo Zorita made a huge save.
