Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albino Nofre firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Jerardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador played a much better game than Talleres and deserved their victory. The Talleres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
