Jacek Matuch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 12th minute of play. Emil Gabor was a little too slow when Teodor Covaci got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvestre Loi got free with Emil Gabor in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silvestre Loi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Emil Gabor made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Éthan Pichard in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emil Gabor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eric Păvăloae struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Jacek Matuch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ninjas in Pyjamas. In the 27th minute, Eric Păvăloae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodor Covaci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodor Covaci in the 33rd minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Emil Gabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Păvăloae scored 1-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacek Matuch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Eric Păvăloae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacek Matuch. SV Bad Harzburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Păvăloae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. 43 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Emil Gabor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvestre Loi. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eric Păvăloae in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacek Matuch saved SV Bad Harzburg from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Păvăloae was the one to do the kick off. Eric Păvăloae might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacek Matuch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Păvăloae ran back to his position shaking his head. Eric Păvăloae could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jacek Matuch made a huge save. Emil Gabor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodor Covaci in the 59th minute of the match. Emil Gabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Schulten in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Toralf Hell. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Eric Păvăloae took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Jacek Matuch to make any attempt to save it. 75 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Jacek Matuch had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eric Păvăloae. If Eric Păvăloae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save SV Bad Harzburg from getting a goal against them. Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after SV Bad Harzburg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rareș Tatulici took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Eric Păvăloae got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacek Matuch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV Bad Harzburg's goalie prevented a goal. The Ninjas in Pyjamas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
