Radu Sărăroiu got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Florin Seremet. In the 11th minute, Silvestre Loi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Nicodim Orășan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicodim Orășan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Loi in the 16th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, SV Bad Harzburg's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Seremet came free, but Jacek Matuch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes SV Bad Harzburg got a freekick which was hit by Jurek Ohrem. Tiberiu Caramarin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Jacek Matuch made a huge save. Jacek Matuch made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mihăiţă Ilarie sent off a good shot on target. In the 27thth minute of the game Tiberiu Caramarin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacek Matuch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Loi in the 36th minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute of the match, Tiberiu Caramarin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jacek Matuch saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Tiberiu Caramarin made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Tiberiu Caramarin notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch. Jacek Matuch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorin Banu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacek Matuch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvestre Loi. In the 75th match minute, SV Bad Harzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Covaci to maneuver through the defense. MIT made a substitution. Bogdan Bucataru replaced Mihăiţă Ilarie. 79 minutes into the game, Ivan Vâtcă threw the ball into play from the sideline. SV Bad Harzburg's Toralf Hell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. MIT made a substitution. Aurel Buzea replaced Florin Seremet. When MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV Bad Harzburg's goalie prevented a goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MIT fully deserved thier win.
