Jacek Matuch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benvide Ponte in the 21st minute of the match. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Éthan Pichard in the 23rd minute of play. SV Bad Harzburg's Éthan Pichard got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurek Ohrem in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Benvide Ponte notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SV Bad Harzburg's Jacek Matuch. Jacek Matuch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 72 minutes, Éthan Pichard made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gimnasia LP's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
