Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tiberiu Caramarin got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Sindo in the 2nd minute of play forced MIT's goalkeeper Calistrat Madgearu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was a well-played corner which Benvide Ponte managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After recieving a nice pass, MIT's Mihăiţă Ilarie tried to score from far away in the 9th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tiberiu Caramarin came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tiran Piedra could save by the left post. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Caramarin in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiran Piedra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnasia LP's goalie prevented a goal. Tiberiu Caramarin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Tiran Piedra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute Tiberiu Caramarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiran Piedra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiran Piedra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia LP from getting a goal against them. Tiran Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Seremet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gimnasia LP's Tiran Piedra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 36th minute of play. Ruperto Gentza made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MIT's Ivan Vâtcă. Tiberiu Caramarin kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by MIT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Melquiades Hondo was slow to take the kick. During this time Gimnasia LP's players had a chance to rest. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amado Sindo to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiran Piedra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Gimnasia LP defense, Tiberiu Caramarin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiran Piedra. The Gimnasia LP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiran Piedra should have stopped the shot. After 68 played minutes Gimnasia LP got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Gentza. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia LP's Ruperto Gentza got a free kick in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiberiu Caramarin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiran Piedra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Caramarin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiran Piedra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Tiberiu Caramarin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. David Tunander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. MIT's Aurel Buzea was substituted for Florin Seremet.
