The supporters of Saint Etienne booed when BÖRÜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutluay Oytunç didn't get a good kick on the ball. Onur Bumba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Gregory Hildmann made a huge save. Anıl Berk Gurbet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernhard Krier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Majerus's late challenge caught a BÖRÜ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Majerus helped the player get up and apologised. Jonas Majerus hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

BÖRÜ's Aytuğ Sabi was substituted for Şimşek İltan. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernhard Krier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anıl Berk Gurbet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernhard Krier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65thth minute of the game Onur Bumba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saint Etienne's Gregory Hildmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Onur Bumba struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Gregory Hildmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BÖRÜ. If Onur Bumba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, Berke Bıyık threw the ball into play from the sideline. Saint Etienne's Raphaël Favre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 75th minute, Onur Bumba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BÖRÜ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Vicente Pedroso kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Anıl Berk Gurbet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernhard Krier in the 85th minute of the match. But to his dismay, Matias Santikurtz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0.
