In the 5th minute, Edelmiro Bibiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, PLUMIN's Flavio Emeterio got a free kick in the 8th minute. A collision led to União Verde FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jorge Mendonça hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Gilvan Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Matteo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnaldo Tinoco during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in União Verde FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Bebeto de Salles had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Jorge Cristofol's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leonides Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Damião in the 31st minute of the match. Jorge Cristofol might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bebeto de Salles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Cristofol ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the game, Laércio Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Leonides Matteo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Enzo Remir ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bebeto de Salles was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Agnaldo Tinoco kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Leonides Matteo made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Laércio Damião sent off a good shot on target. Leonides Matteo was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Ademir Guia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ademir Guia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. 71 minutes into the match, PLUMIN's goalkeeper Leonides Matteo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Laércio Damião. Gilvan Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Leonides Matteo made a huge save. Leonides Matteo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laércio Damião's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. With a little luck, PLUMIN's Leonides Matteo got control of the ball when Laércio Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. União Verde FC were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after PLUMIN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vladimir Motta took the corner. Leonides Matteo made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Laércio Damião sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Cristofol's late challenge caught a União Verde FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Cristofol helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes PLUMIN got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Cristofol. Leonides Matteo made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Gilvan Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Leonides Matteo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ademir Guia showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 95 minute of play. União Verde FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
