Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Miguel Luix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Miguel Luix sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 8 minutes, Miguel Luix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelli City Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Luix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Serafin Bonadona lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Luix in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. After 24 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. When Costa Rica's Axel Tasis in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Martelli City Club's goalie prevented a goal. Miguel Luix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Luix struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Martelli City Club. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Serafin Bonadona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Luix got free with Benito Sanz in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Luix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 40th minute, Guillermo Osmundo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 58th minute, Miguel Luix made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. 63 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Luix came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Eliseo Noboa fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Eliseo Noboa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 65th minute. Martelli City Club's Valdo Vabamüürlane was substituted for Serafin Bonadona. Eliseo Noboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Luix might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Luix ran back to his position shaking his head. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Luix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute of the match Guillermo Osmundo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Luix in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Martelli City Club booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonas Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Luix in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Luix in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 95th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martelli City Club's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
