Anarko Kirchnerista's supporters rose to their feet, but Gong Chao Ke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lino Ibar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anarko Kirchnerista's Maximo Martxot managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 12 minute of the game. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gong Chao Ke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lino Ibar having to make a save. Lino Ibar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gong Chao Ke struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anarko Kirchnerista. Lino Ibar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Maximo Martxot made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Rolando Noboa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gong Chao Ke's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Eliseo Mina made in the 58th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Moises Gayoso immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Anarko Kirchnerista's Gong Chao Ke. But to his dismay, Gong Chao Ke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Anarko Kirchnerista's Per-Erik Vase was substituted for Nicasio Dorio. The crowd rose to their feet as Julian Murillo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lino Ibar. That made the score 1-2 in the 73 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Peru's Eliseo Mina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Ibar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Erik Vase in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Ibar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes Anarko Kirchnerista got a freekick which was hit by Agne Vedholm. After having played for 90 minutes, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseo Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Sustrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Lino Ibar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Anarko Kirchnerista fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Peru were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
