An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute of play forced Alco FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Filipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Kolberg was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Delmiro Filipo as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alco FC throughout the match.
