The ball went over the crossbar instead. 7 minutes in the game, Carlos Tello dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 13th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Guillermo Mariano hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Tello in the 20th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rosario Cardona in the 24th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Carlos Tello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Malcom Payton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Carlos Tello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Tello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rosario Cardona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azzurri FC's Thaddeus Ryan was substituted for Rosario Cardona. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thaddeus Ryan.

The Azzurri FC fans' excitement grew in the 50th match minute when Azzurri FC's Thaddeus Ryan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 53 minutes into the match, Carlos Tello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Tello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 64th minute Jules Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Hando Festini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. 69 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Tello came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Azzurri FC's Carlos Tello made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Tello in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Thaddeus Ryan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Stan Pitre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kendrick Schumacher in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 86th minute. Azzurri FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
