Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas-James Joshua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas-James Joshua took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 38th minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Adrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 40th minute of play forced 0 descensos's goalkeeper Adolfo Adrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Adrio having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 0 descensos's Adolfo Adrio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to 0 descensos getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Luisito Leizarraga hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernabe Rojas made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Melquiades Galtero's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melquiades Galtero helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 played minutes 0 descensos got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Galtero. Abram Sarmiento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Adrio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Adolfo Adrio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Montenegro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 58 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Adolfo Adrio in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lucas-James Joshua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolfo Adrio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. 0 descensos's Adolfo Adrio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save 0 descensos from getting a goal against them. Abram Secada came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adolfo Adrio could save by the left post. Abram Secada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Adolfo Adrio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 87th minute Bernabe Rojas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adolfo Adrio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 93rd minute of the match. A collision led to 0 descensos getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Enrique Firmin hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Ignacio Mastache slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adolfo Adrio. That made the score 2-4 after 97 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colombia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
