An unexpectedly hard shot by Gu Chang Peng in the 86th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gu Chang Peng took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Day. Marco Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Cristian Azibar kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. USA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
