Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julian Murillo kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Emmanuel Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Raggio. Belgrano de Pibasog's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Honorato Jerrold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 25th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belgrano de Pibasog's attentive Clemente Gaizkine managed to snatch the ball when Moises Gayoso made a throw-in in the 38th minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Belgrano de Pibasog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Frederico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano de Pibasog's zone, Luz Tejedor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Raggio came out of the goal and Luz Tejedor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the game, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Judas Verón's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

66 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Judas Verón came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eustaquio Fortun was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgrano de Pibasog's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Belgrano de Pibasog's Clemente Gaizkine got a free kick in the 68th minute. Alonso Berganza made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Efraim Gilabert immediately put the ball in play. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judas Verón in the 74th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Judas Verón, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Raggio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 91st minute. Judas Verón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. Many of Peru's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Peru may have spent more time on the ball, but Belgrano de Pibasog were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
