The shot was a little too simple and Bruno Barrett could save by the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Policial's goal looked a bit too open when Stanley Wallace came free, but Alfredo Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atletico Policial's Alfredo Oihenarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanley Wallace in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Claudio Charro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Bruno Barrett, passed just outside the right post. With an all-out effort, Club Atletico Policial's Bruno Barrett threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gerardo Quinteros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Curacao's Kyle Davies got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute Troy Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Oihenarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredo Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocco Owen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfredo Oihenarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lochlan Newman in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Quinteros to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Curacao's Rocco Owen dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Marshall Graham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredo Oihenarte having to make a save. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Policial's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Davies came free, but Alfredo Oihenarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Charro, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Curacao's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
