If Godwin Klöckner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eicke Brocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to FK Partizani Tirana getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sascha Hinz hit a great ball. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Thorsten Benscheider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eicke Brocker made the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Simpson in the 51st minute of play. Thorsten Benscheider stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Simpson in the 55th minute of the match. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thorsten Benscheider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FK Partizani Tirana's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorsten Benscheider came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eicke Brocker, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 75th minute Eicke Brocker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FK Partizani Tirana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Eicke Brocker hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, FK Partizani Tirana's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Thorsten Benscheider reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Kajetan Meibeck in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. In the 82nd minute, Christian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thorsten Benscheider. The goal made the score 1-3. 84 minutes into the game, Edmundo Espiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Partizani Tirana the free kick. After 84 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Espiga. The supporters of FK Partizani Tirana booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentín Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Kajetan Meibeck threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a defensive mix-up in FK Partizani Tirana's zone, Sebastian Villa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thorsten Benscheider came out of the goal and Sebastian Villa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
