Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Gaudencio Flor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 5thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's Gaudencio Flor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaudencio Flor. Gaudencio Flor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Andino took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gaudencio Flor. Gaudencio Flor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gaudencio Flor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Flor came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Flor. The El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Flor should have stopped the shot. Gaudencio Flor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 41st minute of play. Cristian Sancho scored 0-5 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaudencio Flor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnaldo Firman was the one to do the kick off. Luis Andino was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 53rd minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Valente in the 68th minute of play. With his leg Gaudencio Flor managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gaudencio Flor was a little too slow when Luis Andino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-8. In the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gaudencio Flor made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute. When Casimiro Peyo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the El Tiki-Tiki de Cappa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Peyo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Gaudencio Flor in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
