In the 38th minute, Denver Phoenix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kang Ying Hai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Mikolaj Giertych stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jax Williamson came out of the goal and Mikolaj Giertych tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koby Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan Dixon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kang Ying Hai having to make a save. Jan Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 55 minutes into the match, ..Villa Rugby Club..'s Mikolaj Giertych sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jax Williamson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on ..Villa Rugby Club..'s corner Max Feldthaus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jax Williamson quite easily take care of the ball. Jax Williamson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Saúl Menem's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Kang Ying Hai didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filip Edwards went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Carlos Saúl Menem's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. But to his dismay, Carlos Saúl Menem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Kang Ying Hai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Edwards, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes in the game, Filip Edwards dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 95th minute Max Feldthaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The ..Villa Rugby Club.. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Canada were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
