In the 16th minute, Zalasárszeg OSE's Kálmán Gácsi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Zalasárszeg OSE getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Márton Horváth hit a great ball. Zalasárszeg OSE's György Tóth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 20th minute of play. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of György Tóth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szilárd Tótfalusi, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Facundo Cadaval managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Facundo Cadaval was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. György Tóth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kálmán Gácsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which György Tóth however easily saved by the left post. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Mexico were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
