Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Trpimir Efendić didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Trpimir Efendić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sanderlend defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trpimir Efendić. The Sanderlend fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trpimir Efendić should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Felix Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Trpimir Efendić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Sredoje Gudelj hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Trpimir Efendić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trpimir Efendić having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paja Gagro to strike the kick off in the second half. Sanderlend's Trpimir Efendić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 53rd minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 56 minutes into the match, Sanderlend's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Trpimir Efendić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trpimir Efendić made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Bekir Pozegić hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trpimir Efendić having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Mirko Vuković got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trpimir Efendić made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Trpimir Efendić. The goal made the score 0-8. In the 83rd match minute, Sanderlend was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elmas Nasirović to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Elmas Nasirović was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanderlend's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 84 played minutes Sanderlend got a freekick which was hit by Elmas Nasirović. After a rather tough play, Sanderlend's Sredoje Gudelj got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 87 played minutes Sanderlend got a freekick which was hit by Čane Elezović. Trpimir Efendić was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Daniel Zorita. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trpimir Efendić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 92nd minute of play. Sanderlend's Trpimir Efendić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 96th minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Sanderlend and deserved their victory. The Sanderlend players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
