In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 7 minutes Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Danilo Presebal who took care of the corner kick. Diego Meo were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danilo Presebal took the corner. The corner led Diego Meo's Danilo Presebal to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacobo Nores despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diego Meo's 杨朗桑 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jose Sanz, made in the 12th minute of the game. After 15 played minutes Danilo Presebal rounded Paraguay's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Caniggia Palos took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When Caniggia Palos came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Diego Meo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caniggia Palos couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Danilo Presebal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jacobo Nores. The goal made the score 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Danilo Presebal in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melchor Onofre during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Pardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Jose Sanz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Diego Meo's 杨朗桑 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Presebal in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Presebal in the 58th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Meo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Danilo Presebal in the 59th minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Presebal in the 60th minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Melchor Onofre threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The throw-in from Caniggia Palos in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano. The audience was convinced that Danilo Presebal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. With a little luck, Diego Meo's Filiberto Arlo got control of the ball when Hector Covarrubias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Presebal in the 76th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Caniggia Palos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caniggia Palos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. In the 88thth minute of the game Danilo Presebal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcin Mietus kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 95 minutes, Primitivo Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Diego Meo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Diego Meo booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Escribano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caniggia Palos in the 96th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
