Casimiro Jatsu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Casimiro Jatsus short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 47th minute, Horia Lupu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Pedro Paulo Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of the match. Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Casimiro Jatsu came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Airborne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Jatsu couldn't finish the play. A nice corner shot did that Qin Xiang Chuan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
