Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Zein Tutupoli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Gaviotas FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zein Tutupoli quite easily take care of the ball. Zein Tutupoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernan Herauso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. After 11 minutes Gaviotas FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Zein Tutupoli despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Juan Sebastián Puig scored 0-1 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zein Tutupoli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zein Tutupoli having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Zein Tutupoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zein Tutupoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernan Herauso in the 28th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Zein Tutupoli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Fernan Herauso sent off a good shot on target. A very nice done corner allowed Damian Musko to score against Julio Vera in Ecuador's goal. 1-2 after 38 minutes. Fernan Herauso might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernan Herauso ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Niceto Galtero during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gaviotas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Galtero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaviotas FC's Fernan Herauso got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gaviotas FC's Ivan Mancio was substituted for Inocencio Patxi. Gaviotas FC made a substitution. Armando Azubeli replaced Eleuterio Nardo. 62 minutes into the match, Gaviotas FC's goalkeeper Zein Tutupoli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 64 played minutes Gaviotas FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Oxarra. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariel Lihach in the 71st minute of play. Niceto Galtero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Fernan Herauso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zein Tutupoli. That made the score 2-4 after 80 minutes of play. Zein Tutupoli made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Fernan Herauso took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. In the 92nd minute Fernan Herauso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ariel Lihach went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-4 was the resulting score. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
