The shot was a little too simple and Pedro Manzanares could save by the left post. Ivo Tropchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Ivo Tropchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 16 played minutes Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ got a freekick which was hit by Åke Kihlberg. 17 minutes into the game, Abram Sarmiento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ivo Tropchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergio Cesaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute Sergio Cesaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sergio Cesaro scored 2-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sergio Cesaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Sergio Cesaro made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Martin Urtado was slow to take the kick. During this time Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's players had a chance to rest. Sergio Cesaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Cesaro. After 45 minutes of play, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Sergio Cesaro made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Artal made a great header on Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. When Kevin Mastache came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Mastache couldn't finish the play. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Cesaro in the 71st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bacary Ligier to maneuver through the defense. If Fulvio Terenzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 minutes of play, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Wawrzyniec Sakowicz made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute, Eustacio Mino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Cesaro's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Martin Urtado made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-2. Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Sergio Cesaro got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wawrzyniec Sakowicz in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ were the better team. Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
