Chico Pirok might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dezider Šindelka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Chico Pirok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. In the 29th minute FC Barcelona were awarded a corner. Jan Plocek went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Dezider Šindelka, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after FC Barcelona's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dezider Šindelka quite easily take care of the ball. In the 47th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. After 55 minutes of play, FC Barcelona's Andrej Karásek made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 59th minute, Andrej Karásek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Barcelona's Blažej Janalík was substituted for Petr Kocek. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrej Karásek in the 61st minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Dragan Horčička hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mexico were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Barcelona to leave the ground with a draw.
