Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Lima to make the kick off. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Cristo Cordara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 84th minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Royal Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Royal Knights FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Royal Knights FC's Carlos Lima tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cristo Cordara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
