Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guntademaro Goyenechea kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Tucknott prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the last second Jonathan Ferrant throw himself and got hold of the ball when Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 6thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 8th minute General Velásquez were awarded a corner. Anselmo Johans went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Anselmo Johans got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Tucknott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guntademaro Goyenechea in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anselmo Johans was slow to take the kick. During this time General Velásquez's players had a chance to rest. General Velásquez's Renato Goycolea was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Guntademaro Goyenechea struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for General Velásquez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guntademaro Goyenechea got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when General Velásquez's Guntademaro Goyenechea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 39th minute Guntademaro Goyenechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Schwarzenegger hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemente Tuñon, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. General Velásquez's Teofan Bozadzhiyski was substituted for Marciano Gibson. In the 59th minute of the match General Velásquez got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anselmo Johans ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 60th minute Guntademaro Goyenechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Johny De Raeijmaecker in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henry Tucknott having to make a save. In the 69th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Guntademaro Goyenechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 73 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave General Velásquez the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. In the 89th minute, Johny De Raeijmaecker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
