The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xherdan Shaqiri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Seco succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 7 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. Xherdan Shaqiri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 10th minute of the match. The Uruguay fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Uruguay's Francisco Seco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Seco in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xherdan Shaqiri saved Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. from getting behind. 16 minutes into the game, Camilo Franco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Xherdan Shaqiri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute, Jaime Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Erramun in the 21st minute of play. Xherdan Shaqiri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Xherdan Shaqiri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xherdan Shaqiri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 played minutes Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Erramun. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Francisco Seco sped through Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xherdan Shaqiri. Francisco Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xherdan Shaqiri having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Xherdan Shaqiri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Xherdan Shaqiri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 36th minute of play. Silvestre Merexildo made in the 38th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.! 45 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xherdan Shaqiri. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Xherdan Shaqiri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. from getting a goal against them. With his leg Xherdan Shaqiri managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Xherdan Shaqiri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 56th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Maximiliano Escribano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Xherdan Shaqiri. That made the score 0-8 in the 63 minute of play. Jaime Cazalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Xherdan Shaqiri made a huge save. Xherdan Shaqiri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 72nd minute of play. Claudio Satordi's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Satordi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Satordi to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Xherdan Shaqiri managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 76th minute of the game Jorge Sainz made a throw-in which Camilo Franco played forward. 77 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Xherdan Shaqiri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Xherdan Shaqiri made a huge save. 83 minutes into the match, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Xherdan Shaqiri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 92nd minute of play forced Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Xherdan Shaqiri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Uruguay could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. throughout the match.
