The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Doğan Kavi fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored City Friseur Wuppertal's protests and gave Doğan Kavi a yellow card for diving instead. Doğan Kavi kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, City Friseur Wuppertal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilgaz Kayaer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksander Sjö in the 17th minute of play forced City Friseur Wuppertal's goalkeeper Tevfik Samih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tuncer İribaş could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Tom Colling made a huge save. Tevfik Samih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Motiejus Bilota in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Kazimír Kuthan made a precise shot to the right of Tevfik Samih. City Friseur Wuppertal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Emre Mansız came free, but Tom Colling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 36 minutes into the game, when Ahmet Çelik put in a rough tackle. In the 36th minute, one of City Friseur Wuppertal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for City Friseur Wuppertal. 40 minutes into the game, Fågelmara IK's Witold Lepucki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tevfik Samih made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. After the first half Fågelmara IK were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Mehmet Emre Mansız ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tom Colling was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. In the 55th minute Aleksander Sjö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevfik Samih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alperen Kantara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Motiejus Bilota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Tevfik Samih made a huge save. Tevfik Samih didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kazimír Kuthan went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Kazimír Kuthan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tevfik Samih. That made the score 2-6 in the 75 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Aleksander Sjö's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tevfik Samih was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Hunor Bela who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Tevfik Samih when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
