After 11 played minutes, Branco FC's Octavio Acevedo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonas Pombal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Branco FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Oroitz in the 13th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Esteban Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Friedman in the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milton Friedman in the 19th minute of play forced Branco FC's goalkeeper Esteban Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Cordara kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Virgilio Quinton fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Branco FC's protests and gave Virgilio Quinton a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Fabiofs booed when Branco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Quinton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fabiofs's Remo Simão got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, José Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Octavio Acevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Esteban Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milton Friedman in the 42nd minute of the match. Branco FC's Esteban Iigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Friedman in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Tonete made a kick off. Hamílton Couto hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Gabrio came free, but Jonas Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felipe Weterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jonas Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Gabrio in the 70th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Branco FC's Esteban Iigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Branco FC from getting a goal against them. In the 78th match minute, Branco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Quinton to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Friedman to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Pedro Paulo Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edílson de Souza in the 86th minute of play forced Branco FC's goalkeeper Esteban Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fabiofs booed when Branco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Eulalio Tonete cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonas Pombal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Daniel Lago reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Esteban Iigo. The goal made the score 2-1.

Fabiofs's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
