The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Lara got free with Fryderyk Huk in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, White Star Troopers's goalkeeper Fryderyk Huk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Lara. Fryderyk Huk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fred Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 15 minutes, Daniel Majusiak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the White Star Troopers and the FC Lugano players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Majusiak hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Fred Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fryderyk Huk having to interfere. Daniel Majusiak kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on FC Lugano's corner Zhao Le Sen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fryderyk Huk quite easily take care of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Daniel Majusiak put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of White Star Troopers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Lugano:s goal. White Star Troopers:s Fryderyk Huk showed great skill when he stopped Fred Lara:s penalty. In the 30th minute Fred Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fryderyk Huk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's Jack Saunders sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fryderyk Huk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Fred Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fryderyk Huk was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 35 played minutes White Star Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Sylwester Luty. 36 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's Zhao Le Sen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 39thth minute of the game Jack Saunders who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but White Star Troopers's Fryderyk Huk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. White Star Troopers's Fryderyk Huk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Lara in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Lara got free with Fryderyk Huk in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fryderyk Huk came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lugano's Fred Lara. But to his dismay, Fred Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Fryderyk Huk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakub Waselenczuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, White Star Troopers's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Lara came free, but Fryderyk Huk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Mentis in the 58th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper La Para to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Para showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Lepper, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind White Star Troopers's goalkeeper Fryderyk Huk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Fred Lara made a precise shot to the right of Fryderyk Huk. White Star Troopers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. White Star Troopers's Norbert Karp was substituted for Ziemowit Budrewicz. A collision led to White Star Troopers getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ryszard Waselenczuk hit a great ball. After 80 minutes White Star Troopers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zhao Le Sen who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Jack Saunders heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Lara in the 83rd minute of play forced White Star Troopers's goalkeeper Fryderyk Huk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jakub Waselenczuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Mentis hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Fryderyk Huk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Lara in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhao Le Sen to maneuver through the defense. Iwo Lepper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but La Para made a huge save.
FC Lugano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of White Star Troopers for a fine match.
