An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingo Häusle in the 12th minute of play forced Average Joes's goalkeeper Victoriano Abel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Ingo Häusle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Victoriano Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elis Färber in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Per Rolandsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wolf Poll made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Per Rolandsson sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Jo Blanchaert got a free kick in the 29th minute. Wolf Poll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Rolandsson in the 33rd minute of the match. When Ingo Häusle fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiger's protests and gave Ingo Häusle a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ingo Häusle hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Per Rolandsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wolf Poll was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 47 minutes into the game, Per Rolandsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wolf Poll. Per Rolandsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per Rolandsson to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Average Joes got a freekick which was hit by Per Rolandsson. The audience was convinced that Arthur Saba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf Poll was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Ingo Häusle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victoriano Abel having to interfere. Arvid Wacker's late challenge caught a Average Joes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvid Wacker helped the player get up and apologised. Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Rolandsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Average Joes's Victoriano Abel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Average Joes from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute Ingo Häusle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victoriano Abel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Average Joes's Per Rolandsson got a free kick in the 71st minute. Tiger's Manuel Gebauer was substituted for Edmund Schoettle. Average Joes made a substitution. Mattias Finnman replaced Jo Blanchaert. Average Joes's Filipp Krupatkih was substituted for Martin Morat. Victoriano Abel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 73rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elis Färber. Mattias Finnman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wolf Poll read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. When Lisandro Aresti came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Tiger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Aresti couldn't finish the play. Average Joes made a substitution. Jeremias Silban replaced Per Rolandsson. With an all-out effort, Tiger's Victoriano Abel threw himself towards the right post 86 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lisandro Aresti, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lisandro Aresti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Victoriano Abel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Jeremias Silban was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Average Joes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. The supporters of Tiger booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Silban didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Average Joes were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Tiger for a fine match.
