When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Ribas in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 58 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Chesus. Álvaro Garcia made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Primitivo Andino got a throw-in 68 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Álvaro Garcia in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A sloppy throw-in by Primitivo Andino in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SLB TELHA's Adolfo Caires. 78 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's Noel Marinho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
