Enis Dersu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. If Enis Dersu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enis Dersu got free with Julio Vera in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. DONPATO's Alkan Soysaltürk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Alkan Soysaltürk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alkan Soysaltürk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Enis Dersu sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Enis Dersu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, DONPATO's Elequemedo Lomba got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 53rd minute Enis Dersu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elequemedo Lomba hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Alkan Soysaltürk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. DONPATO's Alkan Soysaltürk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save DONPATO from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 59thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Alkan Soysaltürk would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Felix Montenegros short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Alkan Soysaltürk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Dalmau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkan Soysaltürk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito de Sousa in the 75th minute of play. DONPATO made a substitution. Jairo Francesco replaced Lambis Tsekouras. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after DONPATO's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. 87 minutes into the match, DONPATO's goalkeeper Alkan Soysaltürk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Montenegro. After 88 minutes DONPATO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Jairo Francesco kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Ecuador's Agustín Saelices in 93 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Alkan Soysaltürk guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Alkan Soysaltürk made a huge save. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing DONPATO to leave the ground with a draw.
